New order in WooCommerce
Validate and transform
Created in Infor M3
The order reaches M3 straight away
Orders from WooCommerce are transferred to M3 and created on the right customer account, with the item numbers and prices the ERP expects.
✦Integration
If your webshop runs on WooCommerce, the integration depends on which extensions you use and how prices and variants are set up. We assess the options for connecting it to M3 and review the other systems that are part of your data flow.
What it does
New order in WooCommerce
Validate and transform
Created in Infor M3
Orders from WooCommerce are transferred to M3 and created on the right customer account, with the item numbers and prices the ERP expects.
WooCommerce is typically extended with plugins for prices, variants, VAT and shipping. We go through them, so the integration reads data from the right place.
If an item or a customer is missing, the transfer stops with a clear message and can be resumed once the data has been corrected.
Ready out of the box
WooCommerce → M3
Orders from WooCommerce are transferred to M3 and created as sales orders.
M3 → WooCommerce
Stock from M3 updates WooCommerce, so customers can only buy what can be shipped.
M3 → WooCommerce
Item numbers, variable products and master data are synchronised, so the range follows M3.
M3 → WooCommerce
Sales prices and campaign prices from M3 are used in the webshop – including customer-specific prices if you sell B2B.
Both ways
New customers can be created as customer accounts in M3, and existing customer accounts can be linked to their account in the webshop.
M3 → WooCommerce
Once the order has shipped from M3, WooCommerce is updated with status and tracking, so the customer is notified.
WooCommerce is flexible because it can be extended. That is also why two WooCommerce shops are rarely built the same way. Prices may come from a plugin, variants may be set up in several ways, and VAT and shipping may each be controlled by a different extension.
The integration has to read data from the right places – otherwise it misses the mark as soon as a plugin is updated. So we start by mapping out:
M3 typically owns item numbers, prices, stock and trading terms. The webshop owns the presentation: copy, images, categories and campaigns. If you have a PIM, it often takes over the content.
That division is written down before we build. It keeps a transfer from M3 from overwriting a piece of copy someone has just corrected in the webshop.
M3 Cloud Edition and older or on-premise environments place different demands on the integration. We establish version, access and available APIs together with you and your M3 partner before the technical solution is chosen.
We've got the answers
Usually yes, but it depends on where the data sits. Plugins for prices, variants, VAT and shipping often store data in their own way. We go through your setup during scoping, so the integration reads from the right place.
Yes. Customer-specific prices and payment terms can be pulled from M3. How much is possible depends on which B2B extensions you use – we go through that before we build.
That follows the need. Stock can be updated frequently, while product copy can often wait. We agree the frequency per flow, so response times and load suit your shop.
